Expectations for Children’s Ministry Workers
Ministering to the children at Calvary Chapel Bartlett is a very important and serious calling. We expect our teachers and helpers to view this as their service to God and contribution to the body of Christ. Our goal is to teach the Word of God to the children, not merely baby-sit them. For this to be a reality, children’s ministry workers must place an importance on their ministry and put prayer, effort and time into making their Sunday school class a Christ-centered and loving environment for the children. Teachers are role models and examples. We have the opportunity to build in to a child a love for the Word of God and a love for the God of the Word. Please prayerfully consider if this is the ministry for you.
Calvary Chapel Bartlett must be your home church.
You must have regularly attended services here for at least 6 months.
You must attend a service at Calvary Chapel every week, including the ones that you are not scheduled to work in the children’s ministry.
Please read and understand Calvary Chapel Distinctives (Available for borrowing or purchase from our bookstore.)
You must be in your classroom ready to receive the children 15 minutes prior to service time. Be on time and come prepared!
You are expected to conduct yourself in speech and dress in a way that is fitting for a child of God so that you will be an example to the children in your care.
A background check will be run for every applicant seeking a children's ministry position. These checks will be rerun periodically for the remainder of the ministry relationship. You must sign the Background Check Release Form before your application can be accepted.
All of the above requirements must be met for consideration in children's ministry.
I have read, understand, and agree to abide by the requirements listed above.
